Healing Doesn't Have a Commute
Online Therapy in Texas | Virtual Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Relational Healing
For individuals, couples, and families navigating relational trauma, painful histories, and complicated relationships. Wherever you are, I’ll meet you there
The Right Care, Delivered Where You Are
Many people assume virtual therapy is a compromise, a backup plan for when in-person isn't possible or a convenience that comes at a clinical cost. A growing body of research suggests otherwise. For many mental health concerns, online therapy is just as effective as meeting in person. What matters most isn't sharing the same physical space, it's building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood enough to explore difficult experiences, and supported enough to begin making meaningful changes.
Relational trauma, attachment wounds, betrayal, healing from emotionally immature relationships, intimacy concerns, family pain, and the complicated grief of relationships that didn't go the way they should have are deeply relational experiences. The work of healing them can happen just as meaningfully through secure online therapy, also called virtual therapy or telehealth therapy.
For some people, being in their own environment actually makes it easier to access vulnerable emotions. Sitting in a familiar space can help the nervous system feel safer, making it easier to talk openly about painful experiences, notice old patterns, and practice responding to yourself and others in new ways.
If you're in the Central Texas area, you're welcome to meet with me in person at my Austin or Round Rock office. Because I provide secure online therapy throughout Texas, you don't have to live nearby to work with me. I work with clients in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Waco, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, El Paso, and the Rio Grande Valley, including smaller communities where the right specialist simply isn't available locally. Wherever you are in Texas, we can meet by Zoom. Geography doesn't have to be the reason you put off getting the support you're looking for.
What's Available via Telehealth

How Virtual Sessions Work
Sessions are held over Zoom and run the same length as in-person appointments. To get the most out of your time, a few things matter:
You must be located in Texas at the time of your session.
Find a private space where you will not be overheard or interrupted.
Plan to have your camera on and be well lit. Being able to see facial expressions is an important part of the work.
For couples and family sessions, everyone attends from the same location for the first session. After that, attending from separate locations is fine.
If we lose connection, we will attempt to reconnect via Zoom. If that is not possible, we will continue by phone.
Phone sessions are available within Texas when needed, though video is strongly preferred.
Is Virtual Therapy Right for You?
Virtual therapy works well for most people. It tends to be a good fit if you:
Have a private space where you will not be overheard or interrupted
Have a reliable internet connection
Are comfortable enough with video technology to connect without significant difficulty
Are located anywhere in Texas
Need specialty care that may not be available locally
Virtual therapy is not the right fit if you:
Do not have reliable internet access or a private space
Are currently experiencing suicidal ideation
Have concerns about being monitored or surveilled at home
Struggle significantly with distraction or technology in a way that would interfere with the session
Are experiencing severe dissociation that requires in-person grounding
If you are unsure whether virtual therapy is the right format for you, we can talk through it during a consultation.
